What's Your Plan?

January 29, 2008 15:08 by Kurt Bruner

You know the saying.  "Those who fail to plan plan to fail."

Never fear.  You won't fail because we are going to make it easy for you to plan.

This week we are inviting the entire Lake Pointe and HomePointe community to create a plan for family intentionality.  In each of the worship services and on our web site you will be given an opportunity to evaluate how intentional you've been over the past 120 days and then think through one or two things you can do to build a stronger marriage and family in the next 120 days.

I took the 120 assessment myself a few weeks ago and realized Olivia and I need to make date night a higher priority.  Trying to launch HomePointe has eaten up all of our days and late evenings - so we've been unable to "squeeze in" time alone together.  I know what you're thinking.  "You can't just 'squeeze in' a date night - you have to schedule it!"  Which is why I spent a day last week reworking my schedule to make sure date night becomes a higher priority over the next few months.

I have no idea what will surface as you take the HomePointe Appraisal or what small steps you will include in your plan.  But I do know that a few minutes thinking about it can move your marriage and family back to the center of your radar screen where they belong.

So, what's your plan?

This is an awesome ministry. I wish I had this when my children were younger. I am passing this information and website on to my adult children, friends, and other family members. This will be a wonderful source of strength and encouragement for parents. Thank you for your dedication and the many hours you have devoted to get this going at Lake Pointe.
Truly blessed,

I recently read Olivia's book, "The Minivan Years" and highly recommend it to all moms. It was practical, an easy read for busy parents and most importantly very inspirational in our journey to strengthen our families through Christ. I recently visited the new Homepointe Center and cannot tell you what a blessing it is to Lake Pointe.
