What better place to start than to remind ourselves of God’ design for the home?  Most of us have been or will be called to worship God through the intimacy of marriage and the blessing of children.  That’s why we need to understand the Christian view of family summarized in these three action statements… 

SHOWING CHRIST - Every marriage is intended to be a masterpiece reflecting THE marriage between God and His people.  (See Ephesians 5:31-33)

RAISING BELIEVERS – Those blessed with the gift of children are called to inspire and nurture faith in the next generation as life’s greatest priority.  (See Deuteronomy 6 and Psalm 78)

BEING JESUS – A strong Christian family is where The Word becomes Flesh and Blood as we conform our lives to the image and example of Christ.   (See I John 3:16) 

Based upon these truths, Christians dedicated to a God-honoring home should…

HONOR MARRIAGE:  Pursue a God honoring marriage by giving themselves to a husband or wife through mutual submission and faithful devotion. 

PASS THE FAITH:  Intentionally disciple their own children and grandchildren by capturing and creating experiences that deepen the roots of faith.

WALK THE TALK:  Live their faith at home in ways that will attract the next generation and the next door neighbor to Christ.  

So, what are we waiting for?  Let’s get busy worshipping God through the masterpiece of marriage and the process of intentional parenting.
